- Light Pollution-

Those are pictures of Light Pollutions that happens everynight.

Maybe some of you guys think that the word "Light Pollution" is weird to hear.
You can see at some countries especially in the big cities are exploiting light.

Why we call this as a pollution?
You can imagine if all area are exploiting light, the glow from the moon and the stars will lose its shine to the light from the earth. And it will cause disturbance , especially for animals that used to read the stars to migrate to a more condusive area to continue on with their life. In other words , if they can't see the star's light, they can't reach their destination and they can die if they can't do the migration. So, the population of that animals can be diminished dramatically and can trigger the other ecosystem clutters.

The light pollution also can cause the increasing of the temperature , which also one of the cause of global warming.
With the increasing temperature, the ice of the north pole will melt and the sea-levels will be rising.

To handle this, an idea has appeared -- Earth Hour .
In Earth Hour, we turn off the ligths at night for one hour . It will help us to reduce the light pollutions , and save the energy.
Just one hour without electicity isn't that hard, right? In that one hour, we can share our concern to the earth--our only beautiful planet.
From this one hour, we can turn it into our habit. A habit to save the energy. A habit to give attention to the environment. A habit to love the earth. : )

In March 26 2011, Earth Hour happened.
But i didn't see much of my neighbors participated in it. Honestly, I'm sad. Is it that hard just to turn off the lights?
But i just can believe, that i will share this habit if i participated in Earth Hour.
There's need one person to start the change isn't it? : )
